For four generations, the Christenson family has owned and operated Brush Canyon Ranch. The ranch was homesteaded in the 1800's by Roy Christenson's Scandinavian grandparents. Originally a 160 acre tract, the ranch has grown to 2000 pristine acres. Sitting at 7000 ft. in the foothills of the Greenhorn Mountains, the ranch offers beautiful scenery & breathtaking views in every direction.

Still operating as a working cattle ranch, Roy and his family oversee daily operations and have been sharing it with guests for the past 15 years.

The ranch offers beautiful scenery, varying from sandstone cliffs and deep canyons full of interesting rock formations to lush mountainous forests and rolling green meadows. The views are spectacular with mountains to the South, West and North and the distant plains to the East. Wildlife is abundant and includes deer, elk, bear, turkey and even an occasional mountain lion.

Maps/Directions

We are located in Rye, Colorado about 3 hours South of Denver, 1 1/2 hours South of Colorado Springs and about 45 minutes South of Pueblo. We are also located approx 45 minutes North of Walsenburg.   

• Depart Pueblo and head South on I-25 for approx 24 miles (as measured for center of town)

• Exit at Exit 74 (CO-165/Colo City/Rye Exit) and head West for approx 9.1 miles

• Just past the town of Rye (1/3 mile), turn Right on Old San Isabel Road

• Proceed for 1/2 mile, bear left and continue on Old San Isabel Road for approx 4 miles.

• Turn Left into Brush Canyon Ranch and have fun!
